BIAssist

Your Power BI
support consultant.

A secure, branded assistant for the Power BI stack, with a deliberate bias toward on-premises Power BI Report Server — PBIRS administration, publishing, scheduled refresh, Kerberos, paginated reports, modelling and DAX. It keeps every answer on your reporting estate, redacts secrets you paste, and keeps your API keys locked safely on the server.

Power BI-focused

Reports, semantic models, refresh, gateways, modelling & DAX.

On-prem first

PBIRS builds, Configuration Manager, encryption keys, SPNs & scale-out.

Grounded in your estate

Answers built on your own runbooks, standards and knowledge base.

Best model per question

Routes each query to the strongest available AI provider.

Logs & screenshots

Attach log extracts, PDFs and screenshots — the right model reads them.

Secret scrubbing

Connection strings, passwords, tokens & public IPs are redacted before sending.

📊 Power BI-scoped 🏢 On-prem Report Server 🔒 Encrypted at rest 🧹 Auto-redaction 📲 Installable app 🌗 Light & dark 📊 Admin analytics

🧹 Don't paste live passwords, connection strings, tokens or licence keys — redact them first. We auto-redact obvious secrets, but check before you send.

AI answers can be wrong; verify service-affecting changes against the official Microsoft documentation, and back up the report server database and encryption key first.

Admin activity (audit log)

A record of admin changes — configuration, users, keys and knowledge.

Company profile

Answer a few questions about your organization. The assistant treats these as authoritative facts when replying — the more you fill in, the better it can help. Leave anything blank that doesn't apply.

Assistant identity

Name your assistant and describe how it should behave. Pick which AI powers it under AI & Providers, and give it facts under Company and Knowledge.

Welcome & suggestions

The greeting and the suggestion cards users see on a new chat.

Member profiles

Members can personalise their own display name, avatar, accent colour and read-aloud voice from their profile. You set the initial defaults when creating each user.

Turn off for regulated teams — you can still rename members under Users. Admins are never restricted.

Voice output

The default text-to-speech voice for reading replies aloud. Departments can override it.

Department responses

Tailor how the assistant frames its replies for each job function. Assign a department to each person under Users. Leave a box blank to use the built-in default (shown as the placeholder). This affects tone and framing only — it does not restrict what the assistant can access.

Knowledge base

Add your business information (policies, FAQs, product facts). The bot uses these as its primary source of truth. Toggle items on/off without deleting.
